The Power Notcher PND-54 Notching Device is a pneumatically powered device for cutting and slotting branch pipe ends before inserting them into the T-branch collar.

The PND-54 is a natural complement to the T-DRILL collaring (T elbow forming) system. To ensure full flow, it cuts a crescent-shaped die from both sides of the branch and simultaneously presses it into a slot on the side of the T-bend, which acts like a depth wedge. A second slot, 6 mm higher, acts as a checkpoint.

This saves a lot of assembly time and the result is a controllable soldered joint with the best possible flow characteristics.

The PND-54 Notching Device is suitable for the following branch sizes: 12, 14–16, 18, 22, 28, 35, 42 and 54 mm and corresponding inch sizes: ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½” & 2”.
