Backstops (back gauge) are used for easy positioning of the part and ensuring that each part is bent uniformly. The backstop speeds up the tightening process. Electric backstopcomes standard for all FP and CC series machines (except FP170/175). The electric backstop starts the crimping cycle by pressing a piece against backstop. The electric rear lock allows the part to be held with both hands. Mechanical backstophelps position the part for clamping. With the mechanical backstop, you have to activate the spin cycle by pressing the buttons or using the foot pedal.
